Staind formed in Massachusetts in 1995 and toured extensively in the Northeast. The year 1999 marked a turning point for the band as they released their first major-label album, Dysfunction, and embarked on a tour alongside metal legends Limp Bizkit. The band’s 2001 release, Break the Cycle, went five times platinum in the U.S. and produced the top-five Billboard Hot 100 hit “It’s Been Awhile.” Staind has released a total of eight studio albums, with the most recent being Confessions of the Fallen in 2023.
